GLP-1 protein calculator
When appetite is lower, getting enough protein in fewer, smaller meals takes planning. This calculator gives an informational daily estimate and shows what that looks like per meal.
Informational only. This is not medical advice. Talk to your prescriber or a registered dietitian about your own protein needs, especially if you have kidney disease or other conditions.
Your result
How it is calculated
The estimate is your body weight in kilograms multiplied by 1.8, rounded down to a whole gram. 1.8 g/kg is the default SnapMacro uses for people who tell the app they take a GLP-1 medication. It is then divided evenly across the number of meals you choose so the per-meal amount is easier to picture.
1.8 g/kg sits within the 1.4 to 2.0 g/kg range reviewed for active adults in the position stand cited below, which is not specific to GLP-1 medication. Your prescriber may suggest a different number.

Is 1.8 g/kg a medical recommendation?
No. It is the default SnapMacro uses, within a published range for active adults. Ask your prescriber what is right for you.
What if I cannot eat that much?
Smaller, protein-first meals can help, and a low-intake day is not a failure. If you are struggling to eat, tell your prescriber.
